
It has been reported that an earthquake of 4.5 magnitudes had hit about two miles south of Rosemead. The vibes of this earthquake was felt crossways a large portion of the region of Rosemead also including the region of Orange County. According to the research report of geological department of U.S. no any damage or lost is reported as the result of this huge hit. But the natives living in the nearby region of south of Rosemead and surroundings felt it. People living across Southern California and near the Inland Empire to Long Beach also felt earthquake hitting on Friday, 18th September, 2020 at 11:38 pm.
It had been noticed that the region was almost the same location where the earthquake of 5.9 hits Whittier Narrows in 1987. After the quake of 5.9 magnitude the region also hit by a pair of aftershocks having magnitudes of about 2.1 and 1.6 which came with a delay of 10 minutes. According to the statement of the U.S. Geological there is 5 percent chance of further earthquakes hitting the same location in near future.
This time the earthquake hit all the location of Los Angeles. The team at the fire station of Los angelus is also checking their department’s damage areas after the quake hit the region.
Recent reports claims that there were no any kind of direct and serious damage and injuries reported as the result of this earthquake. The management of the geological department stated that the residents of this region must be prepared for further aftershocks in near future.
The police department of Los Angeles had provided emergency helpline 911 to the residents to contact in case of any emergency and mishap. As a safety measure the department of Geology also states that in order to protect from shaking during aftershocks the people had to protect their head and neck while taking cover of a strong furniture item and stay ahead from the walls.
The management of Los Angeles airport had also doing checking of all the department of the airport in order to figure out any kind of damage caused by the earthquake.
